HaHaHa, Yes that's my new invention..... The dust pan brush wheel chock! That's what happens when you ask a former girlfriend to give you something to stick under the tire, but to her credit it worked!!! It's a shame, I don't take her out much.

Believe Mike's old car was a 962 in Jagermeister livery.

Wow, glad to see u here bro. I snapped a zillion pix of the car at Renn3 in 07. Was by far the most brutally killer car there...
Can u give us more on the history of the car? Will u have it running for R4 this year? |

Guys thanks for all of the kind words.... I've been checking out this site for years but always wanted to keep a low profile, that's why I never posted pics. But as time goes by I'm starting to thinks it's a shame that such a beautiful car be kept hidden. So Here is a little history on this K3. It's chassis # 000-0011 It was built in 1980 by the Kremer Bros form a new chassis supplied by the Porsche factory. The car was a Kremer team car #2, meaning that it was raced by the Kremer Bros in Europe. They raced it all of 1980 with Jagermeister livery. The drivers who drove for the Kremer bros at that time were some of the best in the business, Stommelen, Fitzpatrick, Mass, wollek, Busby & Plankenhorn. The car was very successful and won many races, it also placed 2nd and 3rd very often. After the 1980 season it was sold to John Fitzpatrick who then ran it in the Imsa series with Sachs sponsorship from 1981 until about 1982. As a Sachs car it wore the #1 because in the previous year Fitz won the Imsa Championship in a Dick Barbour car. About in 1983 the car was repainted and ran with J DAVID sponsorship for about another year. The car was then put away in favor of the new K4. At that time the car was put up for sale and a good friend of mine Dr Pilla who I did not know at the time bought the car to run in DE'S and then began vintage racing it for many years. He owned the car for approximately 10 years and then decided to stop racing and put it away. I was then contacted by another friend of mine who told me about this 935 that was for sale and that I should go and look at it. Well I really didn't believe him because first of all, I didn't think he even knew what a 935 was and I never heard of one being in NJ, so I let it go. About two weeks later he called me again and said, did you go look at that car? and I said no because it's probably not a real one! and he said that he was sure it was. I said how do you know? He said it has an up sidedown gear box and gigantic tires!! I thought oh ****...... I better get there and look at this thing Maybe he does know what he's talking about after all! So I call Dr Pilla to arrange to and see the car. He said I could go at anytime and that a the fella at the shop would show me the car. I immediately call the guy and went that afternoon.. I think I was doing about 100 MPH on the highway to get there before anyone else. When I got there I met the guy and asked him to show me the car. The car was at an old abandoned textile factory with many buildings. We went to this one huge building that was about 25 degrees inside and black as night and he said "wait here while I put the lights on". As he flicked the beakers, I could see the car starting to become visible. It was in this giant building with, of all things, a Kremer k3! I almost **** my pants!!! It was real.... There it sat battered and bruised with a blown motor in boxes, flat tires and body parts hanging off of it. It was the perfect barn find picture. Which I blew by the way, because I was so excited to buy the car that I never remembered to take a picture of it! IDIOT!!! So I bought the car, sent it to Gunnar Racing ( the best racing Porsche restorer ever) for a full Restoration and now I just Run it once and a while. That's the story of K3 #000-0011. Hope I didn't bore you.
