'72 originality question...
 

On the bottom of the deck lid between the two lights for the license plate, is there something that goes there? On my it looks like there are two holes that have been filled and painted over as if something was removed (or not replaced).

Any information (pics?) would be appreciated.

Can you snap a pic, or find one on this board to post?

There was an engine compartment light available as an option but from your description I don't think that would be the correct location for these added lights. A photo would be helpful to figure this out.

If the holes are in the deck lid it might be were the Carrera badge was.
