SC fuchs question
Still learning here pelicanites please forgive me. I have an 83 with 205/16s up front and 225/16s in the rear. My understanding is this was not factory sizing. I have one Fuchs that is a little different than the others - how do I tell what is a true Fuchs and what is a repo? Is there a stamp or imprint somewhere that I can look to tell? Secondly, with the original aluminum black lug nuts, how do you remove these and tighten them back on without scratching or taking the paint off? I have cleaned them and used a quality automotive spray paint with little luck.
cheers- |

If you take the wheels off, you will see the factory stampings and part numbers on the back. There are special "soft sockets" available to take off the lugs without damaging them. I'm sure Pelican sells them. (BTW, the lugs come from the factory black anodized, not painted). |
