Air Flow Switch Wiring Question

I'm in the process of putting my car back together and I've hit a road block. The car is a 82 911sc. Originally I took it apart to replace the rubber intake sleeves, because one blew out. When I put it back together I reversed the plugs for the Cold Start Valve, and the Air Flow Switch. The result was that the yellow with blue striped wire running from the Air Flow Switch melted...I have the motor out of the car now, and I just need to know where to run a the new wire. IThe wire in question runs off the air flow switch plug along with a yellow wire and a red with black striped wire. Only problem is, is that the yellow with blue ends after a few inches and I have no idea where to run the new one too...Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

After doing some searching I think I answered my own question. Looks like it goes to the starter. Only other place in the car I've found anouther yellow/blue wire. Things brings up a new question though...The Air Flow Switch sits higher up and towards the passenger side of the motor? And the Cold Start Valve sits a little lower and toward the driver's side? Am I right so far?

So then my plug in question with a Yellow, Red/Black, and Yellow/Blue running from it...Does it go to the Cold Start Valve or the Air Flow Sensor?

Last thing I want to do is run a new wire and then put the motor back in with the plugs still switched and melt another wire!!

The air flow sensor is a ground circuit and would have a brown/black and brown wire. Red/black and yellow/blue are colors associated with the cold start valve, though I cannot find them as matching the diagram for an 82 on this site's diagrams.

The yellow /blue is the lower starter wire on the SC which activates the cold start.
The cold start also runs and will Ohm from the 7th injector to the chain box left face with the thermostat. That ohmed so you can tell the airflow sensor.
