Just fired up a 2.7...got some questions

I just got my old Weber's back from Paul Abbot and I put them on the engine.
Car started in 4 seconds. Sweet..Thank you Paul!

The heat exchangers were too heavy for me to lift so I put on a set of headers with two glass packs. Sounds pretty good, not as loud as my sport muffler..

Here's my question: The right bank exhaust is hot. The left back is not as hot, more like just warm air..Bad plug on the left bank? Seems to be running fine with the exception of some popping on the left bank.

I'm also getting flames out of the exhaust after a rev. I have solex cams.

Thanks.

It has to be something silly. 1-6-2-4-3-5 - rotor counter clockwise - double check.

CCW on a 2.7?

Sorry. I made an assumption.

The firing order is the same, correct?

Edit: Yep - Right you are. The non contact point distributors in the SC's turn counter clockwise.

Ok....re checked firing order A OK....I put an STE flowmeter on the right bank.
Cyl 4-5-6 register 8.
The left bank cyl 1-2-3 register 5.
I don't hear any tapping, air escaping or any other sounds that are associated with broken head studs.
Re tightened the carbs and intakes. I'm puzzled.

I am no carb expert but it sounds like the linkage is not synchronized between the two banks.

Edit - Like the left side is not as open as the right. Is that possible?

Eureka! You are right Bob the linkage was out if sync!
I've adjusted them are it's running sweet! Don't ever under estimate your knowledge!
Thanks Bob! And thanks to everyone who replied.
Thanks Pelican!
