Wideband O2 sensor cable routing?
Before I start drilling, does anyone know if there is a convenient place to run the cable from a wideband O2 sensor into the cabin on my 1986 911?
Thanks. |
There might be enough room thru the DME cabling port on the drivers side......I used it for the head temp wiring.

Do you use your A/C? I removed mine and ran flexible gray electrical conduit in place of the A/C lines on the driver side. There is a hole in the front driver side "trunk" near the washer bottle to enter into the trunk and can then be routed to the back side of the dash.

On my 1973 I ran it through the tunnel. I used and existing grommet for a harness. but I am sure your car is different. What kind of AFR setup? How many wires.

Ran mine with the main harness to the engine then routed the wire under the carpet at the base of the tunnel to the guage that is in place of the ashtray.

Thanks guys. I followed the main harness through the DME grommet behind the drivers seat. Taking out the rear seat stuff and going through the firewall behind the air filter may have been less work though.
Putting in the sensor cable for an Innovate LM-2. The plug is fairly big. Mike |
