915 rebuild - where does this part belongs??
I am rebuilding my 915 tranny. At this point I have it completely apart and I am inspecting the parts to see what needs to be changed. I doing so I came across the part on the picture below. I don't recall this particular part from previous rebuilds, but I want to make sure that I don't miss it. I was sitting close to the dismantled case, but I am not even sure if it came out if the 915.
Thanks in advance for the help http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1306722330.jpg |
It's the pin for the back up light switch.

It's the reverse light activation rod. When you put your trans in reverse this pushes against the switch and activates it.
It's located in the front nose cone of the trans. The smaller end goes into the nose cone, switch side. Easily misplaced. Lucky you picked it up. |
Number 42 in this pic. (EDIT Bottom of picture)
