DOES IT FIT?:993 DOOR(FRAMES) IN A '73 car.

Before i start with this idea, anybody who tried or did it already?I guess the door isn't the problem, about the doorframe i'm not sure(the rubber seal on top). All info welcome.
Marcus.

The shape of the 911 didn't change in this area so they would fit the door aperture but you'd have to check the mounting holes in the door for the frames.

Are you considering doing this?

doorframes of a 993 are thicker and in a 993 i never heard any wind streaming thrue the rubber seals.Ofcourse it needs a proper adjustment, but as i'm trying to build the perfect RS,i want to give it a try, ofcourse with annodised doorframes and chrome 993 doorhandles. At least the engine(3.8RS) and gearbox(G50/31) fits already.....

Interesting. I was going to say the 993 doors are heavier but if you dropping in a 3.8 I guess a few extra pounds is no big deal. Sounds like a fun project.

I'm unclear as to exactly what you are trying to do. Put 993 doors on a 73? Replace rusty door frames on a 73 with 993 frames? A pillar, B pillar, both?

I once tried to put a roll bar made for a 993 C4 in my '71 911. Guess what, the 993 was about 2" wider across between the B pillars than my 71!

Before I tried anything like this I would do some careful measurements and compare parts carefully while next to each other.
