Identifying a spoiler/rear wing
I'm new to the forum, and looking for help identifying a "whale tail".I don't currently have a photo,so a description follows. It's all rubber, with a plastic vented area in the middle part.Weighs a ton,and from looking around,it appears to be a late 70's 911 sc wing.Is it worth anything other than a wall hanging? I will endeavor to get a picture tomorrow.I don't own a porsche, and would love to get this in the hands of someone who needs it.Any help is appreciated.

Wall hanging is probably best use.
The all rubber wing was used in mid '70s to the '80s to meet the "pedestrian Saftey standards" of some markets. Yep, it's very heavy and desirable only to a small handful of people. Most prefer an early Carrera tail or the later 3.2 Carrera tail. Both are primarily fiberglass with only a rubber lip. Cooper |

That's what I was getting from a few different car guys.Just thought I'd check to be sure,it's kind of a neat piece, and it's strangely undamaged after 30 or so years. To the wall it goes! Thanks for the feedback!
