Help! i have tobuy this Carrera 3.2 or not?
Hi, (i'am danilo from Italy, and sorry for my bad english)
i like to buy this carrera 3.2 cabrio...good or not? Auto usate: Porsche, 911, Carrera Cabriolet AutoScout24 pagina di dettaglio (sorry for pics...but..for copyrigth,,,) full optional but "enlarged" turbolook style. thanks! GRAZIE! |
G50 trans, cab, looks nice. I don't know the Italian market on pricing.....
The cab top if electrical can be a pain.....get the car inspected. Are the flares steel or fiberglass? |
Sorry Danilo, but my Italian is worse than your English, so I can't read the ad. I would recommend that you have a Pre-Purchase Inspection done by a reputable shop that is local to the car.
Good luck. |
thanks!
-the flares are steel -yes..eletric capote=problems after buy (tomorrow first encounter for look the car) with old local chief porsche mecanic (absolute expert) the italy/europe medium price (euro): 3.2 coupè 25K 3.2 cabrio 30K SC/2.7/3.0 15-20K 964>993>996 20-30K old classic (crazy price..for my) 2.0/2.2/2.4S over 45K E >35K T >25K after 20 year (carrera 3.2) for italian law is "vintage" =very small tax, small assurance, official tecnical control 2 year, no city "block" for emission. |
The car looks nice and 80k miles isn't bad.
Check if the air conditioning is working. Was a new clutch put in? Check the maintenance records. How is the leather on the seats? Any cracks? Have a competent Porsche mechanic check the car out for you, especially compression and leak down test. See if the transmission shifts correctly. The color is beautiful!!! |
thanks!
after tomorrow i send here the pics...yes i like this color..clutch "new" 20000km but the price is "good" because the "proprietary" is "old" and on Hospital for serious problems, the wife want to sale fast |
hood gap looks way off...the poor blue carpet didt wear well...
if you dont want the rear rubber bumpers I will help you with those :p overall looks OK...get a PPI!!! |
I´d say no not at that price anyway. The interior looks well worn especially the drivers wheel. Its a european turbolook and not an import so it should have 231bhp and not the 218 listed. Get the pre purchase inspection done. Something doesn´t feel right about this one...call it gut feeling
Just noticed its also a non original turbo look. If thats the case and is only has 218bhp then they´ve put European bodyparts on an American import. Big No from me(Non because of the US import just the lack of continuity) |
That seems like a lot of cash for that car - is it that difficult to import one? You could pick up nice cars in the US for that price.

The big thing is that it really takes a closer inspection to tell the difference between a perfect car and an ok car. Pre Purchase Inspection is your friend. |
vai avederla! giusto per non ripetere quanto scritto da altri
aggiungo verifica che le modifiche alla carrozzeria e le dimensioni dei cerchi siano riportate sul libretto (gli interni sono un pò vissuti) ciao! |
Hi/ciao All
i look today this car Positive: interior/seats/capote/fuchs...engine start fast...not oil leak...eletrical options ok Negative : small CRASH front right but the torsion bars and steering (look) ok, the car is stopped and unsold for a year I will still see it, the feel for a few km, If right deal on the price (-5000Euro= total 15.000), the price is NOT 25K but 20K the heart says ok but no brain))) (for Giovanni...le misure gomme sono sul libretto la carrozzeria non credo...è stata urtata davanti ma il mio amico(40anni capofficina alfa+porsche dice che appunto bisogna provarla) |
