read windshield installation

Installing the rear window/ windshield. what is the easiest way to do it? there must be a trick that im missing. btw, I cant really access it from the inside to to the cage, so I cant do the rear the same way that I did the rest of the windows.

I could be wrong, but it seems that I have to put the rubber strip on the glass and then try to put the two in together at the same time. this is the way that I did the other windows

thanks for the help
Scott

I am pretty sure you need a helper if you are doing it alone.

You are correct. You install the rubber seal on the glass, then the trim piece to expand the rubber, and then work your install string into the grove in the seal. . Place it on the window opening, center it the best you can, lube up the seal and pinch weld with some soapy water, and then start installing. If you install it without the quarter windows installed, you can do it yourself. If your quarter windows are installed, you are going to need somebody standing outside pushing on the window while another person sets in the car and works the rope. Either way, it is much easier to have somebody standing outside applying light pressure at the point where you are working the install rope.
