Post Oil Pressure - New Gauge??

Recently started the engine after the rebuild and conversion to 3.2 Litre, addition of chain tensioners, new cam profile, etc. I thought the pressure sender may be faulty so I got a new one but the pressure does not climb to more than 1 bar while I have run in the cams at 2000 rpm (and varying). The green light goes out right after I crank the car indicating pressure and I can see the gauge come up off of zero pressure to a little over 1 bar, but I thought I should see a higher pressure at startup.

Should I swap out the dash gauge itself??, surely the second sender is not bad, the reading is the same with either sender. Or is this normal?

David,

Do both senders read between 10 - 25 Ohms at ambient air pressure or engine off?
