Hi all,
I recently got a warm start issue on my 79' 911sc Car starts up fine when cold. When hot after a few minutes of sitting car turns over but doesn't want to start. I does eventually but not easily. After reading several posts, I changed the accumulator and have a newer fuel pump. Any thoughts of where to go from here? I have read that some people adjusted the fuel mixture (to richer). I am stumped however. ![]() |

Hi Mike,
Welcome to the forum. You probably have a small fuel leak somewhere. E.g., injector/cold start valve/WUR. You can have a leak downstream of the accumulator. Residual/rest pressure is lost by even a small leak and it's hard to start. Need to find it and seal it. Search with the advanced search function and use various search criteria regarding warm start issues. Get yourself a set of pressure gauges to help you trouble shoot. Well worth the money. |
