For those of you interested in adding a tail to your car...

"Whad do ya figur this here thing is fer?" ,asked Cletus.

"Hell, I dunno.... it looks like it came frem one of them Porshe cars..." ...said Bubba with a dry grin...

"SHOOOOOO Dawgie! I bet my britches you could sell that thar thing on the Intrenet fer a bundle!"

....submitted without further comment. ;)

Uh, I don't think they talk like that in Wilkes-Barr, PA, Leland ;)

I'll agree that the item is most definitely a weird-looking device. Is it a Carrera tail without the rubber trim?

I'll be honest with one thing. I LOVE the old Willys jeep in the background ;)

The tail looks like one I had years ago on my 914. I just might bid on it for old time sakes.

AirCooledExcellence 03-01-2002 03:24 AM

Leland Pate 03-01-2002 03:29 AM

Hey there!

~~We're AMERicans..... we're allowed to be tasteless if we want!! :D :D :D :D :D

rstoll 03-01-2002 03:34 AM

Obviously, Cletus is confused. That is the skid plate from his Jeep.

Adam 03-01-2002 03:35 AM

That Mustang's been fitted with a WHALEbone plough!

skinnerd 03-01-2002 08:46 AM

gaaaaadddddd.... thes is exactly Y I love this bulliton board so much. I lern so much abot tastefull mods for my P-car.

That has to rank right up there with the early targa pimp mobile of posts from the past. The more I see this kind of stuff on Ebay, the more I think it belongs on the comedy channel. -Doug http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pint1.gif

Check out the tire this tail is resting on. I'm guessing it's a trick part for lawnmower racing.

JDaniel 03-01-2002 09:15 AM

I think that's a tail from the rare 491 option on the Porsche tractor.

Brian993 03-01-2002 10:12 AM

How about this one:http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1808674947:)

sammyg2 03-01-2002 11:15 AM

Whats funny about the rubber tail? I was under the impression that those were actually offered on some models.

Leland Pate 03-01-2002 11:37 AM

Not on a 911...

AirCooledExcellence 03-01-2002 11:53 AM

Whaddaya mean!!!??

I've got one of those on mine!

Brian993 03-01-2002 01:27 PM

Let me clear up the misunderstanding. The one I am selling belongs on a 911, the other one is for a 914. There is nothing funny about the rubber tail, just a misunderstanding.:)

sammyg2 03-01-2002 01:52 PM

LOL! I didn't realize that was your e-bay ad I thought you were saying something was wrong with that type of tail, i was going to say that they aint so bad at all.

Joe Bob 03-01-2002 06:21 PM

Bubba's overalls....Oshkosh or Sear's?????

jluetjen 03-02-2002 04:35 AM

Ok Leland. I think that it is time for you to come home now. It's obvious that you've been spending too much time surfing the web rather then servicing your Porsche. If you would spend more time under your car you'd have less time for oogling others styling faux pas.

Doug Zielke 03-02-2002 06:17 AM

This is a classic, ebay rip-off!
How come the guy is not selling the handle ??
I suppose he's going to make you buy that separately, right?
