Seat motor switches at Pelican

Am I losing my mind or is Pelican no longer selling the power seat motor switches? I cannot find them after various searches in the online catalog, with other items in the cart ready to order. I've seen them in the catalog before...

Thanks for the offer. I finally found them in interior switches (so I am losing my mind); the search function wasn't going there though. I may just spring for new ones, as disassembling and cleaning didn't work in my case. John Walker noted that also. I'd better check the motors first too, although I read those are pretty reliable.

Dont feel bad. I had to buy some for my '84 last month and it was not an easy find.

Wayne, are you paying attention?

A better way to search the catalog is to find the PN in PET, then enter it in the search box.

I will *bet* you can fix the existing switches......if not contact cleaner....then running a narrow strip of emery paper under the (presumably glitched) point-contacts. Takes a bit of delicate work to remove the switch and take them apart....but I've had nearly 100% success with switches thought to be dead.

Thanks for the replies, all. I replaced both switch assys today, with the help of a very good reference post by "jhubs". Photos are good... One change I would suggest is to remove the seat from the car and put it on a bench or table - just disconnect the two electrical connectors once the seat is unbolted and laid on its' side. It's too much of a PITA to be doing this in the car.

I originally messed around with cleaning the switch contacts, and the access isn't very good to get emery paper etc in the contacts due to the contacts being so recessed in the switch housing. Spraying contact cleaner didn't do the trick. I figure these new switches are good for another 25 years now, and saved hundreds $ vs paying a dealer or shop to change them. Also did the upper steering bushing replacement, using the metal bushing insert that replaces the disintegrated plastic that is (or was, I should say) between the inner bearing race and the steering shaft - works great. Next project - passenger window motor RPL.
