About to pull front bumper off my '71... advice?

Havent really looked at it, but will have limited time later today. Whats the process for a quick pull off and install? I'm switching out my aluminum part of my bumper strip and thought it would be easier to pull the bumper, replace the bumper strip, then reinstall. thanks!

Not hard. Unbolt by battery boxes in fender, vapor tank and horns might be in the way. If you have a fender oil cooler, might need to removed. 4 bolts inside the trunk at the corners of the bulkhead. Some of my trim studs were pretty rusted and broke off, so you might need to get some.

+1 on the rusted studs.

I just removed the bumper on my '75 to replace the "smile" yesterday. Obviously, my car is different, but I was amazed at how bad some of the hardware was. I hit everything I could find with some PB Blaster and let it sit prior to removal. You may need/want to do the same with your '72, depending upon its condition and any prior restoration work the car has seen.

Fast job on the middie, though, and I'd expect you'll find it's simple on the '72 as well.

Have fun!
