Well I Just bought a Suspension Pan for my 70 911E coupe, now how hard is it to install? anyone done this before? I'm thinking just take the Torch to it and cut it out then put the new one in, It sounds too eazy I am wondering what problems I am going to run into.
Also has anyone every rebuilt their calipers? I also need advice.

To do a proper replacement you also have to split the old spotwelds to get a clean surface to attach the new pan to.
There was a recent thread about the same subject where I suggested that you needed some sort of jig to get everything properly lined up, but others responded that the fit was good enough to do it without the jig? Anyway, be careful to get everything properly lined up before welding, remember, this is the fwd front suspension point you are replacing. I would also recommend some reading like the Porsche 911 Guide to Purchase & D.I.Y. Restoration by Porter & Morgan, lots of useful information. good luck with the restoration Bjorn
