Rear shock bolt

For the '87 Carrera the parts catalog and the Bentley manual show 2 large washers on either side of the rear shock on the large lower bolt but my car only had one washer between the bolt head and the shock. There was no washer between the trailing arm and the shock. Is that OK or should I go find another washer? I am replacing the old Bilstein HDs with Bilstein Sport shocks after upgrading to 28mm rear TBs.

I would just put it back the way you found it. As I recall, my 79 only had one washer next to the bolt head.

My '87 with original Boge shocks (soon to be Bilstein) only has 1 washer.

Both my '87 Targa and '87 930 have one bolt on the bolt hear side FWIW.
