Alternative fuel pump options rather than Bosch?

Need a fuel pump for a CIS 78 911. I think I saw a recent post here on the tech board that there are other options rather than Bosch for fuel pumps, Anyone used another pump rather than Bosch? Thanks

Walpro has a decent rep.....but having my oem pump for as long as I have tends to give it a great rep. Lot's of good used units out there.

Bosch Fuel Pump

Our host sells a new unit for <$260. For something this critical my decision was to get a new unit. Wound up buying a used unit that stopped working after a while then at a friend's suggestion bought a second used unit. So guess how much I spent on two used fuel pumps.

Just my $.02

I believe Joe Bob meant "Walbro" - I put one in my SC about 5 years ago, no problems and fit just like the stock Bosch. Can't recall which model fuel pump it was but the specs were pretty much the same as the Bosch; about $150 cheaper if I recall.

look up "the fuel pump king" in Ca. have bought several pumps from him. brand new in the box bosch pump for my sc was 165 bucks delivered, that was around 3 yrs ago and still humming. Before you call, he needs the # of the old pump.
