New Porsche owner with his project.

Hi Everybody! . This is my first Post , and I would like to present myself and my car.

My name is Dany Tremblay, I am from Montreal, Canada (I am very sorry if my English is not perfect. I will try to do my best. I live in a French country). I work in aerospace as an interior designer ( private jet). Recently ( 9 months ago), I have bought my first Porsche. It’s a 911 Carrera 1984 3.2L. The car is in a very good shape, but because of my profession ( I am a perfectionist……)
I decided to disassemble the car and to put my personal touch and also to learn how the car was built (interior only for now). I have a lot of project for this car to come.

For this winter, my project:
• Strip the interior
• Clean up on the electrical wires ( under the dash board)
• Protect all the fragile metal parts – floor, side panels, doors.etc...)
• New carpet. All black color
• New leather on seats – 2 colors, Black and light beige
• Better insulation everywhere
• New headliner
• And few small things on the side.

After that for the next summer, my next step will be to clean up the motor (tune-up) and change few gaskets. I have some oil liking. Not too much, but enough to take care of.


This is the baby a few months ago .

Next time, I will put pictures of the beginning of the project

One of the coffee run this year (1st Saturday of the every months without snow) both chapters met in Lachute and then drive to Mont-Trembland which was reserved by the Rennsport and the New York regions for a 3 days Porschefest. We got to go on the track for about 6 runs... Priceless

Zodiac... I used to ride them when I was in the Navy.

I know ... the car is in very bad shape.....

I changed the suspension bushing last month. The right/rear torsion bar broke and I had to removed everything (spring plate,vulcanized bushing etc...) big job to remove the damned rubber

next step will be to re-adjust+alignement.

Beautiful car and welcome aboard. The 2 tone look in the interior you're going for (tan seats/black carpet) is one of my favorites. Look forward to the updates.
