Can anyone give me a ball park figure for an 89 (5 spd) 930 with 44K miles in Guards red and biscuit trim.
Car is reported stock but the rear valence has been cut at some period to enable a twin outlet exhaust.Wheels are original Fuchs and car looks clean from pics!. I know alot depends on engine condition but I will have a good PPI done on this one ![]() I am ALOT wiser than when I purchased the ragtop!. Thanks guys! I think that $35k to $45K is the mean for a clean coupe, with a mint car fetching maybe $50K

Ben, I think you should be able to get into a decent one for mid 30's. freefly is right that a perfect concours ride will be quite pricey. My feeling is if you want to take it out to play, skip the perfect examples, leave them for the concours boys. The other thought is most turbo owners can NOT leave the thing stock, why not find one that has been properly modified and get the go fast goodies for a fraction of what they cost the PO.

Hmmmm...questions, questions, questions..Always with the questions! Is this a turbo that you found that looks like it might be a good deal? Or..Are you looking for a turbo and this is just one you are considering? Big difference in approach. Capitalizing on a "good deal" is quite a bit different than searching for your "dream car". Either way ..Good luck.

Ben, I live in Boston, if you want me to take a look at the 930 for you before you go further, let me know. I owned an 87 930 for a while, so I know how they should run and also where the weak spots are.

Vic that sounds a great idea!!!!
If you have the time of course. ![]() It's quite a drive from LOng Island for something that could turn out to be a rust bucket!. It sounds a nice car by all accounts and is going for $35K If you could take a peek at it and give it a preliminary inspection I would really appreciate it!. I will e-mail you once I have called the owner today. Thanks to the other posters also rgds Ben |

I live on the NJ Shore, and around here decent 86-88 930's are going for low to mid 30's. Like $32-36 in good condition with average mileage. The 89's seem to go for a few grand more. The 5 speed is desireable. Sounds like that is a very fair price, based on the mileage, if it proves to be in nice shape.

$35K sounds like a steal for that car if it is a true 44,000 mile car, and is in the condition it should be with those miles (i.e. basically almost like new, being driven only 4000 miles a year, it should be in like new condition).
