Engine Grille Removal - 84 Targa

It is time to spruce up my engine cover grille on the Targa. It looks pretty straightforward to remove.

Is there anything that could possibly break? I see that there are about six plastic bolt covers that may have become brittle after 27 years of high speed beatings.

Thanks.

Chris,

No, I did it to my 83sc and it looks really nice. I also cleaned around and polished behind it where it meets the paint. Go for it. Make sure you do not drop any of those little fasteners. I did and it took me 30 minutes to find it in the engine bay.

How are you ?
