synthetic oil in my car. question about switching back to conventional..

kind of a long story.

I took the old car to the track this weekend and had some problems with oil slosh. I don't have a oil catch can but it is now on "the list"

Currently I simply have a little filter coming off the oil breather line. This weekend while the oil was set at Max level I had issues with oil sloshing and bubbling out of the little filter.

I thought I would try to drain about one quart out and continue to drive. ...well I couldn't bet the plug back in until about 4 quarts came out. Hot oil on the hands and arms ...OUCH!

Anyway, I've been using conventional oil most recently Brad Penn. ...had about 2 quarts with me but not enough to replenish what I had lost.

Had the track shop do a quick oil change for me but they only had synthetic oil on hand. (Pennzoil 10-60) I set the level at the halfway point between min and max while at temperature and didn't have the problem with oil sloshing out anymore.

So here's the question; Should I immediately drain, flush and change back to conventional oil to avoid any possible oil leaks or should I just leave this oil in and change back and next interval?

I'd leave it in until next change. but maybe someone else will chime in with another opinion.

Leave it. It makes no sense to drain it now.
