88 911 targa drain hose in wheel well

Can somebody tell me what the drain hose is in the drivers side wheel well??
Is it overflow for gas when tanking the car? Thanks

No. It is the overflow for the Master Cylinder. If you ever use a Power Bleeder on your brakes and forget to pinch the line on the side of the Master Cylinder, that hose will spew Brake Fluid all over your garage floor. Twice, if you are dumb like me.

The hose I pinch off when power bleeding is so small. The hose I'm referring to is probably 3 times that size. Are you sure?

I'll check on mine as soon as I get home. There are also AC hoses in that area.

On my 77 it appears to drain whatever gets into the fuel filling area. Since the door doesn't have any seals; water from rain or washing, or overfilling of fuel needs a place to go.
