A/C question
 

I'm about to install the Rennaire system in my 88 Carrera. I'm staying with R-12( I have 30#s of the stuff). I need to know what type of oil to use on the o-rings. The kit came with the ester oil and will use it if possible.

I'm told ester can be used in both R-12 and R-134a.

Mine is still running R-12 and on a recent repair/evac and charge, I made sure I used dedicated r-12 MINERAL OIL (old school).

I would think Rennair would be happy to answer that type of question. As much as I appreciate (and solicit) advice from this board, most of us aren't pros.
