Porsche Crest Rear T Bars

When I pulled my T bars out for the rears, I see that there are metal washers on the ends of the bars that I presume allow the spring plates to maintain clearance with the body. I am installing 30's in the rear which are about a washer width longer than the stock bars.

Anyone have any experience with how much distance the spring plate adjustment bolts should be from the body when the cover plates are tightened up?

Anyone?

Those washers are normaly under the heads from Nut and Bolt.
