Fuel Pump Testing
I am blowing the fuel pump fuse (16) instantly on my 82SC. My plan is to hot wire from the + terminal on the battery to the + terminal on the fuel pump with an inline amp gauge. Any reading over 8 amps indicates a bad pump. Does this sound right? Thanks.

Sounds like it.
But...I would install a larger fuse ... maybe 15Amp ( in the test circuit)...to keep from burning any wires. Bob

Have you cleaned the fuel pump and fuse connections?
