Molly - Not for the faint at heart





Guys, My saga of Molly the Mongrel, a 1979 PORSCHE 911SC and what was done to her prior to my ownership as well as what has been done to her since I drove her back from LA in January this year. Bought her right but then lost my mind...I am ready to go fast..responsibly ..yeah right !

Engine/Trans/ Exhaust

- Carrera Chain Tensioners - Turbo Valve Covers - Cold Start Valve
- Thermo Time Switch - Performance airbox/cleaner - Magcor ignition wires
- MSD coil - Hi-Torque starter - Stainless steel alternator fan shroud
- Clutch cable & back lash spring - Short shift kit - Ultimate engine sound pad
- rebuilt WUR - Fuel pump, and valve - Rebuilt fuel distributor
- Stainless heat exchangers and B&B exhaust - Heater boxes + tubes
- Complete tune up and fluid change

Exhaust / Body / Interior

- Steel front floor panels - Floor operated heater controls - Heater blower -
- Steering wheel bearings - E brake assembly - manual heat controls
- New turn signal switch - H4 headlights - Momo Tuner steering wheel

- Minor rust repair
- Paint job and replace all exterior trim pieces

Done ? probably not :=)

Black paint and polished wheels (chrome? not sure) look great together. Good work.....nice looking 911! My 55 year old eyes aint what they used to be.......(sometimes midnight blue looks black too). Thanks for showing it.

Molly is black and going all black, paint, trim, black center Fuch replicas (couldn't afford the real) :=) Second stage will be motor and then paint so i will live with her Mongrel look for a while !

"Not for the faint of heart" is that referring to the amount of $ that's been spent? Sounds like it was a bit of a wreck before ? What is the history of the vehicle?
Anyway it looks like it's just about new again , but as you say the motor is an unknown. Best of luck!

Money spent...Yes

You hit it right on the head...$ spent to revitalize this old girl. Motor , I think is OK except for the one pulled stud. She runs strong, little oil use. I bought her from an old Pelican who stopped in the middle of the restoration. All the suspension work was done, interior was about 75% done and the rest is a lot of time, effort, energy and dollars thrown at her to bring her back to her glory.
