How to mount tire rack in trailer?
I need to hang a tire rack inside of an enclosed trailer.
I have seen carriage bolts from the exterior through the entire stud, sheet metal screws into the stud, and screws into those plastic thingies. I have also seen several tire racks fall. What is the best, safest way? Thanks, BK

No to sheet metal screws. No to "plastic thingies". Thru-bolts only on a supporting member (or add a backing member attached to a supporting member).

I've seen vertical supports added, and the rack bolted/welded to that. Also seen guys using "E" track on both sides, with shoring/cargo bars as the rack.
Personally, I like to store tires low, strapped to the floor, with a PVC pipe run through the center. |
