SOLVED! Bilstein strut clunking kunumdrum?
SOLVED! Bilstein strut clunking kunumdrum. Turns out that whomever assembled the mono ball, Bilstein shock/strut assembly did not realize that the hole in the top of the strut dust cover was not large enough to allow top of shock rod to properly mate/seat with camber plate mono ball resulting in seemingly secure attachment. If fact there was enough room for tensional loading and unloading that overwhelmed rubber bushing insert thus causing severe clunking sounds.
Thanks for all of the advice. EP Slick - Tucson |
