new smoke detector

I had a massive vaccum leak somewhere on an 82 engine-the engine would stall if you opened the oil tank cap. I tried dish detergent and air pressure but no luck. So I bought a inexpensive smoke detector kit off the net. Using the machine with the engine in the car, even with a partial drop I couldn't find the source of a big plume of smoke which came out of the right side.
So I dropped the engine, and the leak turned out to be the intake runner sleeve on no1 cylinder-success!!! Photo 3 shows the smoke pipe connected to the brake booster line. Photo 4 shows all the nifty plugs and caps that came with it. I used a 3 inch Fernco type drain pipe cap to plug the intake
