Red face Good news and bad news... yes this is off topic.

Well i hope this sticks around in the forum for at least a couple hours before being booted to the wasteland that is known as "Off Topic Rantings".

The good news:
We're coming home.......again.

The bad news: We aren't going through Baltimore now.

Now we are being routed through Egypt, Somolia (just kidding), Ramstein, Ireland, Newfoundland, then to Atlanta.

.....we have a 13 hour layover in Atlanta...... ...."someone make the bad man stop..." before flying to Boise through Phoenix.

I hope no one is mad at me for the abrupt change of plans. It is really out of my control.

Instead of sitting in the terminal for 13 hours...we've all agreed to chip in $20 each and get a hotel room so we can all relax and grab a hot shower before heading back to the airport.

If anyone in the ATLANTA area wants to stop by...give me a shout... ...

lol... I figure this to be a pretty safe bet... it is either going to be Baltimore or Atlanta... those are the only two airports the contracted airline flies to...

Standard Military doctrine.... Change 5. 7.

Again, sorry for the offtopic post.

We're all just waiting for you in Boise. (kidding)

Just get your funny ass back to the land of alcohol and mini skirts safely. Just do that. We'll leave the light on.

We do have flight times all the way back to the states... but it is a 53 hour trip from start to finish.

That is 5-3 hours for something to go wrong.
My personal guess is that we'll be delayed at least several hours... and god only knows where.
If you'd like to shoot me your number, I'll be sure to give you a call if we end up having an unexpected delay in AZ.

LeLand, since I basically work out of the ATL airport, tell me when this is, and Ill be sure and meet you. There is a nice new Red Roof Inn on the Northside of the airport, that is unless you want the Hyatt.

Thumbs up

Leland,

The bar is open at my house in Phoenix as of Wednesday! Just moved here and get in the house on the 6th.

Pls give me an approx ETA and will at least stop by the airport and shake your hand (and hope to fill it with a brew) instead of this email.

Hail, Hail, The Conquering Hero (of the battle for SC Supremecy!)

Seriously, Leland.. I just want to add my thankee's to everyone else here.

And furthermore, since I live in a non-pass though city on your way home (god help you if you get stuck in AKRON OH!!! ) I still want to contribute to your beer fund...

But i can't figure out how this is going to work.. so, I propose this. If someone will be organizing a party, I want to kick in for it. Just let me know, and I'll pay pal you right off!

Good luck, and get your a$$ back home, we're all waiting for ya!!

Best of luck!

Chuck

I've got allot of phone numbers and I'll be sure to give you guys a call if it is feasable.

The longest layover is supposed to be in Atlanta from like 8am to 5pm)... but you know how that goes... there just isn't any way to really tell til I'm almost there.

Whoo hoo! Today is my last day at work!
Hope to see some of you guys soon!

Leland,

Which day are you coming to CONUS? When you say last day at work do you mean you are flying out in the next day or so?

Give me an idea of when you will be passing through and a couple of us will try to stop by the airport and give you an "excellent" fix or something!

Joe

Leland:

What day are you supposed to be in Atlanta? Try to post the arrival information. I may be able to shake loose and welcome our leader and founder back to the mainland. Keep us posted.

If the rotator is ontime, we will depart the AOR tomorrow evening (6th) my time... hope to be in Atlanta on the 7th ATL time for the majority of the day. I think our scheduled arrival time in ATL is like 8 am local.

But....you all know how that goes... if anyone is interested, give me your phone numbers and I'll call when we get in!
