Question Help! SSI manifold gaskets?

Does anyone know what the correct exhaust manifold gaskets for SSIs on a 3.2 are? It seems the metal sandwich gaskets sold to me by PerformanceProducts at $10 a piece (ouch?), supposedly for SSI's are larger in diameter around the gasket hole than the diameter of the tube on the SSI's by a few mm. PP and I were looking over some gaskets for the 3.2s and 930s that were smaller in diameter and looked like a better fit, and were a heck of a lot less expensive at $2.75 a piece. Any input appreciated.

Are you getting used SSI's or buying new? If buying new, the exhaust gaskets come with the SSI's.

I bought them new a few years ago, put them on, and took them off the same day because the FVD muffler I bought was just WAY SOOOOO LOUD!! Anways, I guess they came with gaskets, but I don't know if I misplaced them or used them when I reinstalled the stock exhaust. The ones that are on the car now when I removed the stock exhaust are the larger diameter ones.

The smaller gaskets do not fit the SSIs that you have (large flange w/projections that go into head). I went through the same thing in reverse. Was given the small ones and they were too small by a couple of mm. The larger ones work just fine.
If you would like to contact John at SSI let me know and I will dig up his number, which is at home. He is the owner of the company and very helpful. He could tell you the exact size of the gasket.

I need to be a bit more clear, I was given only two options one that was too small, and one that was just a tad loose. There may be other gaskets available that I don't know about.

Thanks Marc, you are probably right. It just seems the loose ones are loose be quite a lot, like 4 mm in diameter too large. Then I started wondering if the diameter of the pipes on the SSIs were too small, but they measure 1.5" I.D. The smaller diameter gaskets I saw seemed to be just a couple of mm smaller in diameter, but I could be off. I guess if no one else knows, I'll have to give SSI a call.
