The injectors just may be stuck from sitting. Try lightly tapping on them with a screwdriver with the car running, they may just need a little help to "wake up"

check for any corrosion on the black plug just to the right of the upper left rear shock mount. those injectors often get stuck after sitting a long time.

could be a clogged fuel distributor. A restart after three years usually requires new fuel. Its probaly that damp Dalkey climate

What John Walker said. Also, yes you can remove the injectors. I had the same problem after mine sat for 6 months last winter. Two were not firing.

Unbolt the fuel rail (don't bother disconnecting the fuel lines, too tight, not enough access and not really necessary), and then wiggle the fuel rail and all three injectors out. You may wish to pull the metal clips at the top of each injector first, that would allow them to come with the rail or if really stuck in the intake they would stay put and you can wiggle them loose individually later.

Once out, blast them out with carb cleaner or similar and put it back together. Don't forget to reinstall the metal clips at the top. Check for leaks once you turn the ignition back on. Keep an extinguisher handy.

Thats all it took on my car. From what I read three years will do it.

I´m sure John will correct me if I´m wrong but as far as I am aware the Fuel distributor has two fuel outlets feeding fuel to the rails connecting the injectors. With all three down at one side I feel the problem is not necessarily the injectors but at the fuel distributor itself. I´ve gotten dirty fuel in Dublin more than once and if the cars been sitting for three years I figure its one to look at.

no fuel distributor on 84-89 carreras. that's a CIS thing.

do you have a noid light that will plug into the injector plug? if it pulsates when the starter is operated, then that plug will work a good injector. there needs to be 12V at one of the terminals in each plug anytime the key is on. a test light will check that. the computer pulses the ground to complete the circuit.

Could be the ignition switch too. Try pulling forward on the switch cylinder.
