Targa trim question
 

I have a '73 targa and I need help identifying what is supposed to go in the eight holes that run along the rear of the windshield frame, to the rear of the front seal. This is the area where the black vinyl wraps around the frame and comes over the top by a little more than a quarter of an inch. It is also where the top pins and latch mechanism fit. The holes appear threaded, and look to be between M3 and M4 in size. I called PP yesterday, but we could not find an answer.

Anyone with an early targa please tell me what is supposed to go in those holes. Are they screws or plastic rivets?

I just want to put something in there that will keep the vinyl from peeling back, but I would like to make sure the fastener is correct.

The vinyl is kept back by two inox strips held down with screws. I gather you are missing the two strips. Just screwing the vinyl down does not sound like a long term solution.

Dont know the right naming but they are 3.5 mm thick, 1.5 cm long.

Inox Strips?
 

Well, the part about the stips certainly answers a lot. I was wondering what good screws alone would do, and had planned on using some kind of finishing washer.

Does anyone have a part number for the strips?
