Did I fail? Damage CDI/coil?
 

I was doing maint on my 930. I was replacing my spark plug wires and plugs. While all the wires including the one from the coil to the dist were off, I decided to do a compression test. So I cranked the engine several times with the coil disconnected from the dist cap and the CDI not disabled. I did hear the coil arc to the coil bracket a few times too.

So did I shorten the life of my coil and CDI? Did I fail?
