ALMS Northeast Grand Prix
Limerock July 8&9, anybody going? Should be a fun event since we don't get much of this in the northeast.

BMW's, enjoying factory support (whether it be actually 'official or not'), plus the GM factory-backed Corvettes by way of Pratt&Miller, and the brand new and striking 458 GT's directly maintained by Maranello, give our lizard motorsports a handful, to even be competitive within the same laps, let alone in the same race. No need to distinguish the fact that Bergmeister and Long are 2 of the best drivers of our generation - but I think this is a first where neither here nor in europe has a 911 gone racing so far into a season without winning at this level of international GT racing, am I incorrect? The LMP class is a joke with a basically discontinued Aston that managed not even a full hour in Le Mans (in euro trim), and the old Dyson Lola's which have raced in LMP2, but are in LMP1, but are slow enough to be passed by GT's, but are somehow LMP's but, are what again? And then there's, what? 2014 for Porsche? I'll be waitin'...

Friday must have been Walmart day at Limerock, that's all I can say. Weren't many folks there on Friday and we left at 2:30 due to bad weather moving in. I will plan to be there Saturday next year.
