Fuel pump elec connections

Question, I recently removed and reinstalled my engine. What wire harness if any controls the fuel pump. I did remove and reinstall the relay.
The only reason I ask is I do not hear it when I turn the key and I thought I used to so i was wondering if there was anything else I disconnected and forgot to reconnect, thanks.

The fuel pump on a 78 SC--if that's the car--should not continuously run with just the ignition in the "on" position unless there is a fault in the wiring. The pump relay activates the pump via the start circuit when the engine is not running, so it begins to run as soon as you turn the key to the "start" position. Once the engine is running and the air flow sensor switch opens, the pump relay switches power directly to the pump, away from the "start" circuit and it continues to run as long as the ignition is in the "on" position.

If you previously heard the pump running with the ignition turned on and the engine off, likely the relay was faulty or the wire from the air flow sensor the the relay--located on the engine harness--had been disconnected.

Thanks for the info. Car is running. I think the lines were just not primed and had to get the air out.
