MFI pump sprocket
Is the sprocket on the MFI pump reversable? Ie. if the teeth are worn down on the leading edge can the sprocket be flipped around and reinstalled? Crazy idea but a lot cheaper than a replacement part.

Not sure if it is that simple. My engine is out right now so I will take a look.... The gear does wear as it is alloy but I think it only fits one way.

Designed as a cup it will fit only one way. Rotating it will not make it useabler. Grüsse |

How about getting it hard-chrome plated to toughen/strengthen the wearing surface?

Warren - interesting idea. It may be too late for this pulley, however, the damage has been done. The good news is the belt does not slip... yet.
You can see the worn spots in the teeth below.
