I good way to turn a Targa into a Cabby...Just thought it was cool. |
One of....? A Targa?

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the forum. dicklague's confusion is because Porsche actually made the Targa like that in the way back. That is a short wheelbase 911 (long wheel base started in 69-ish - maybe 70) Since you have an SC you are already among the elite on this board. Please post a pic and be awash in praise. |

Just saw one for sale here somewhere.

The soft window Targas are fairly rare. They were only made in the early days of the 911.

Thanks for the pics, Dave. Beautiful car.
You know I saw your "Blog Entries" as 1 and thought that was your post count so that is why I thought you were brand new here. The 993 is sweet. Varioram? |
Do a search... there is someone that's thinking about reproducing the soft window for sale.
Occasionally you see a used one for sale. The original targas in the mid 60's were all soft windows. Late 60's the glass window was an option, then standard. The soft window was an option briefly. By the early 70's, the soft window was no longer available from Porsche. |
This is in no way meant to be an endorsement of Sloan Cars, dealerships, soft window Targas, the State of Connecticut or the color Silver:
