Temporary Roll Bar of 89 Targa
Looking into the possibilities of installing a roll bar in 1989 Targa. Checking to see possibility of temporary roll bar that can be installed for HPDE, only do about 2-3 HPDE/year . I like to tow the kids around in the back seat in summer, hence the temporary aspect. Does this exist, the roll bar's i've seen make the back seat unavailable.
Thanks!

These are fairly easy to install and remove:

I test fit the DAS bar in my car the other day - it does take up a couple inches of travel on the drivers and passenger seats....so if you are tall and have the seat reclined, it won't be with the bar in place -
however, the fit was near perfectly lined up for the bolts - should be pretty easy to remove after the DE events..... YMMV td |

So no need to mess with the upholstery?

Hi Jonas -
It appeared to be a completely plug and play solution - no alteration of any sort. I think your back seat backs are toast, but other than that it was a zero impact installation. If you don't have a seat clearance issue, I"d say it was a total winner!! good luck td |
