Smile I bought my 911 S on ebay last week

I was looking for a '70 - '73 but prices were making my nose bleed. So I settled on a nice '77
Targa with a new paint job and head rebuild.

I will just have to get used to those Dolly Parton bumpers. I will pick it up next week end.

There is no pedigree or documentation I had a thorough prepurchase inspection from the local Porsche expert shop, Reid Vann.

Where can I get an owners manual?
Do you suggest a Haynes manual?

Frank

The "owners" manual can be found at the dealer or on Ebay. I got mine from the latter.

The "service" manuals are $$$. I believe our host can get you those, but they do appear on Ebay occassionally.

You can never have enough manuals. Each seem to have its strong and weak points. If I could only have one manual for regular jobs, it would be the Bentley manual.

Congrats, hope it turns out well.

Where to buy Techron and proper brake fluid?

Quick and frivolous question: where can I buy Techron? I'd like to run a bottle of it through on a nice 4 hr. trip to NJ in 2 wks. Also, I haven't touched the brake fluid in my car since I got it last July. I'll be at a tech session tomorrow and am thinking that might be a good chance to flush it with a bunch of experts and helpers around me. What should I buy and where can I buy it - no catalogues please. Trak Auto? Pep Boys? Thanks.

I have found Wayne's 101 Projects Book a valuable source if info also. You can purchase on this site. Craig

Wayne's book is awesome. Try the Bentley manual. You can usually find it at a discount. Its been well above average in terms of usefulness. This forum, particularly with its vast host of SCWDP members, has been awesome.

Frank:

Welcome to the '77 911s world. I purchased the Porsche PET program, and the Porsche shop manual on CD on E-Bay. Those two sources plus the tech articles offered by our host have been invaluable to my education, and repair of my '77.

Good luck, and post your questions.
