Oil Thermostat on engine, '81 SC

Have Engine out of car for Cylinder head Bolt replacement.........Wondering if I should replace Thermostat on Engine. Car and Engine only have 80,000. Any Ideas? Also, Car had 4-5% leak Down test. Any reason to do Valve job too?
Thanks, '81SC SteveT

Steve, I would replace the thermostat housing o-ring and the oil pressure switch while the engine is out. they are leak prone. I don't think you need a valve job with your readings. 81'SC
