1975 "s" slow starter

First post but long time lurker.

My 911s hasn't been started in a little over a year. Then the starter was normal. Now I tried to start it last night and the starter was very very very slow. Engine never fired. Battery is new and I even checked and it is fully charged.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

1975 911s, CIS, stock up has been upgraded (Carrera tens, 11 blade, case savers)

The question is what is the draw down on strart.....you could have dirty terminals or other ground problem.

Hi Randy,

I once had a starter problem with my 1975 911. It turned out to be a corroded ground strap. However, the starter was not turning slow, it simply did not engage at all.

Hope you will soon find the solution.

Alain
