Talking Man Has Porsche Impounded

Local resident Richard Brown, 38, had his 1985 Porsche Carrera seized by authorities yesterday after an anonymous tipster informed them that Brown was "not obsessed enough" with his car.

When police arrived at the residence, they found that the car had not been washed for nearly 48 hours. The garage was not only poorly lit and inadequately heated, but officers were unable to turn up a single piece of Porsche memorobilia anywhere in the house. A poster of Steve McQueen was later uncovered after a more exhaustive search, but deemed "not good enough" as it was actually from the movie "Bullitt".

Upon questioning, Brown admitted that he only used the car to get "from point A to point B". Officers said that Brown could not recite the result of his last leakdown test from memory, nor had he ever brought the car in for dyno testing. Later, during his interrogation at the station, police said that Brown "routinely" confused Butzi Porsche with Ferry Porsche, and that he thought Nurburgring was a kind of German ice cream.

The car itself was placed with a foster owner who immediately bored out the cylinders and began stripping the car for a bare metal repaint.

Competition for Jack Olsen? This was funny. Good job! Wanted to insert a smiley applauding, but can't figure them out...yet.

Oh krap, I'd better look out. Mine just got back on the road from a 3 week stint with the front end on jackstands. I wasn't in a hurry because I still am waiting for a ignition lock fron Porsche (custom manufactured to match the key). Kinda hard to steal when missing 2 wheels.

I must come to the defense of poor Mr. Brown. His obsession with his Carrera rendered him incapacitated.
Haven't you all at one time or another been overwhelmed by the demands of Porsche ownership? The cost, the worry, pretty ladies at gas stations that ask you what year it is?
Who of you is going to throw the first stone?
I blame Mr Brown's insurance company for limiting him to 5000 miles per year. They are the guilty party!!

You know, I've been guilty of neglecting my P-car. When you work on cars for a living, sometimes the last thing you want to do when you get home is touch another car. (Thank GOD I'm not a Gynecologist!)
