Innovate lc-1 and auto timer install issues

Well a few days ago i wanted to install my innovate lc-1 and my innovate auto timer but, with so much going on ive been pulled away from it multiple times and i cant seem to figure out my issue and was hoping someone that has install experience can help me troubleshoot my issue.

I just finished up my install of the two items to what i thought was to the exact specs of the directions but, when i turn the ignition on the small led never lights up and my gauge reads a solid 7.4. I know my gauge is reading because it has timer function and volts read and display on the gauge. One slight discrepency I had with the instructions what that it states to hook up my gauge to analog 2 the brown wire(I would think that analog 1 yellow wire) i dont know if that was a misprint or if it actually is suppose hooked up to analog 2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i want to get my car back on the road!

What gauge are you using? Analog two (brown wire) is the wide band output and is what is used for most gauges and ecm's.

I'm using an innovate auto timer (reads volts, afr, and is a timer).

The brown wire should have around 5 volts to it when on, engine off (reading non exhaust air). The yellow wire I believe connects to a light source to auto dim the gauge. Check the brown wire for voltage. Mine stopped working and I found the brown wire was not hot. Innovate sent me a new unit.

also, hook up a lap top and see if that reads correctly. That will tell you if it's a guage problem or other.

The fact that the LED is not working is not a good sign.

good luck

I had a dead LED in my kit. It seemed like the LC-1 wasn't working (since it wasn't flashing). I hooked my multimeter up and saw that the voltage was there. Went over to Radio Shack and bought a new 12v LED along with a small project enclosure. Put it all together and it has been working fine since.

I would try hooking up to logworks on a laptop and see if the LC-1 is functioning.

Okay i took a break ate some food and went back out to try and trouble shoot some more and came back with the same end result of a non functioning lc-1 but, now im just more frustrated with the install. Im contemplating just scratching the whole thing removing it and starting again from a clean slate. Anyone have a write up on their install? What color wires and where they connected their lc-1 wires upto? Pics would be great.

Seriously time for a beer now!
