Oil Tank?

Hello guys. I have a '71 911 body and am putting a '74 2.7 engine in it. The body didn't come with an oil tank. I have a chance to buy a tank out of a '72. Will this work? Will the lines work? I have books but some things I can't make heads or tails out of. The pictures I see all look like the tanks are on the right of the engine. Also does the filter screw into the tank? Guys, be patient, I'm new at this. Thanks, John

John,

No, a '72 tank won't work, because it was the unique version made for the external right fender filler flap. What you want is a '73 or later tank.
