Where to find Zoom Juice
Click
"Site Index" then to "Station Locator" then enter your info and click on "Racing Fuel" for 100 Octane fun. http://www.76.com/ BTW..never tried this gas...would it make a noticable difference for street driving or would that just be a waste of money? Thanks |
Good to know.
In answer to your question, octane is a measure of a fuel's resistance to preignition ("pinging"). In a motor that doesn't have a knock sensor (like your '85 911) it won't make any increase in power. Under conditions that might cause pinging like pulling a trailer or a hot day at the track, running a higher octane will give you an added safety margin. -Chris |
