Engine Bay bracket question.

Guys,

Hoping someone can help me......

On my 1984 Carrera, I've got a bracket that looks like it should have a clip on it.

It's the bottom bracket that has a hole in it.

In the last pic of another engine bay,you can see a "Blue" clip that holds a wiring loom.
It looks like I'm missing it....I think it should hold my Brown wiring loom.

Does anyone know the Part Number of this clip? I tried to find it in PET but no luck.

Cheers,

Geoff.

It's not in the parts catalog anywhere that I can find. I would suggest just using a zip tie.

If it's for the wires I think they are called Omega clips....

That clip is supporting the wire goin to the afm,I agree just use a zip tie..in fact I am missing the support on my 84

That is a fairly common part in a automotive store like pep boys... Just look in the misc trim section.

Thanks for the comments Guys.

I've got plenty of zip ties but I was trying to keep it original if I could.

Cheers,

Geoff.

Plastic Cable Clip, Blue 16MM

113 142 261 A

These part numbers are difficult to find.

I have a list of sizes 6MM to 22MM I got from local Porsche dealer... It has been faxed between at least three other dealers in SoCal based on notes written on it...

Pelican should be able to get it to you with the PN listed.

(I like to keep it original too)

Cooper,

Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated.

At least that gives me something to work with.....

Geoff.

Good idea there Draco......

I'll have to raid the parts box and see what I can find.

Cheers,

Geoff.

I like the solution from Drago. The little plastic clips can be weak over time. Mine uses a zip tie, much quicker and I go for utility vs. look.
