Sheet Metal Reproduction Rankings? Specifically Suspension Pan

I am preparing for the worst today, as I am waiting for news from the body shop on how extensive my battery tray rust has gone. Talked to them last week, the top battery tray needs replaced (have OEM part), part of the tank support (have Dansk reproduction part) and waiting to hear on suspension pan. Plan was for them to remove the gas tank today to look at the pan.

Doing some research, I have three reproduction options on the suspension tray, Dansk, Stoddard and Reproduction Designs. The Dansk piece is twice as expensive and more then I need. Though I am willing to pony up for the best reproduction piece. Stoddard has the piece in stock at half the price, but they told me they do their own stampings (read outsourced but not to Dansh or Reproduction).

Does anyone have experience on all three pieces? Any opinions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Chuck

I used a Dansk piece (bought from Pelican) for battery rust repair on my last 911. It was the fuel tank support (the upper portion). The fit was not perfect but I felt that it was pretty darn close and would use them again. I've heard of stories of new sheet metal having terrible fit.

The suspension pan I got from Restoration Design a few years back was well-made and fit reasonably well. Be sure to get the reinforcement brackets for the A-arm connections.

I don't know about the other sources.

I bought mine from Pelican and it fits well. It also included the reinforcment brackets, although it wasn't mentioned in the description. It is the Restoration Design panel.

Did you purchase the Dansk suspension pan?

Thanks,

Chuck
